Washington Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy

Effective and last updated: October 5, 2026
1. Scope and responsible entity
FELTIE LLC ("Feltie," "we," "us," or "our") provides the Feltie iOS application (the "App"). This policy covers consumer health data subject to Washington's My Health My Data Act (the "Act"), chapter 19.373 RCW. It applies to Washington residents and individuals whose consumer health data is collected in Washington when acting in an individual or household capacity.
"Consumer health data" means personal information linked or reasonably linkable to a consumer that identifies the consumer's past, present, or future physical or mental health status. Collection and processing under the Act can include operations performed on your device. Describing that processing here does not mean Feltie LLC receives your local records.
2. Categories, sources, and purposes
Information you provide in the Feltie iOS app. This includes symptoms and conditions; cycle and reproductive-health information; sleep; heart rate and heart rate variability; step counts; stress; medication history; lab values; appointment notes; and health information in documents or photos you save to the Document Vault, notes or dictated text, and messages you enter in Feltie Library. Profile or age information is included when it is linked to or reveals health information. The sources are you and the documents or photos you choose to import.
Voice input. If you use Feltie's voice-input button, the App processes your voice audio on your device, through Apple's on-device speech recognition, to convert it into note text. The App does not save the audio or use it to identify you. The source is you.
Authorized Apple Health information. If you permit access, Feltie reads heart rate, resting heart rate, heart rate variability (SDNN), step count, and sleep analysis from Apple Health. That access is read-only. Feltie does not write your records to Apple Health.
Health information generated locally. Daily views, trends, personalized suggestions, pattern information, and reports are generated from your on-device entries, content, and authorized Health imports. They may reveal or support inferences about your health. Feltie Library uses a bundled reference library and local entries, not an external AI service.
The App processes these categories locally to provide the tracking, review, pattern-awareness, appointment-preparation, reminder, storage, and reporting features you request. It also uses identifying information for your local profile and the age check. The App does not send these records to Feltie.
Siri text. Apple's Siri system can supply text from a Shortcut you initiate. Until you confirm or discard it, Feltie keeps that text in ordinary local app settings, not in the App's encrypted on-device storage. Feltie does not encrypt that temporary text, which may be included in iCloud or computer device backups depending on your settings. Apple may process Siri requests on its servers. The source is your request as processed by Apple.
Support communications. We receive health information or health-related identifying information you choose to include in an email inquiry or attachment, including one prepared through "Contact us." The source is you. We use correspondence to respond to and resolve your inquiry, provide the support you request, administer privacy requests, protect against security incidents, fraud, and abuse, comply with legal obligations, and, where applicable law permits, establish or defend legal claims. We keep correspondence only as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes and then delete it, unless applicable law requires us to keep it longer.
Apple diagnostics. If you opt in to sharing analytics with app developers, Apple may provide crash reports and aggregated usage statistics about the App. These reports are not designed to include your records. To the extent information in a report identifies or supports an inference about your health and is linked or reasonably linkable to you, it is consumer health data covered by this policy. The source is Apple. We use the reports to identify and fix faults and improve reliability. We retain them only as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes, or longer if applicable law requires. We do not use them for advertising or to identify your health conditions.
3. Sharing and recipients
Exports at your direction. You can export a backup or PDF report containing the health records, identifying information, content, and local results included in that export. The recipients are the people and services you select, such as a health care professional, an email recipient, or a file-storage or sharing service. Feltie does not select these recipients, transmit the file to them, or learn who they are. The purpose is the export or sharing you request. Exported files are not encrypted by Feltie. Feltie does not receive a copy merely because you export it.
Email services and professional advisers. If you email us health information or attach health records, email providers process that information and associated sender and routing information to transmit, receive, and store the correspondence. Those providers include the service you use to send the message and Google Workspace, which hosts Feltie's business inbox. Access to correspondence is limited to Feltie personnel and professional advisers, such as legal counsel, who need the information for the inquiry, support, privacy-request, security, fraud, abuse, legal-compliance, or legally permitted claims purposes in Section 2 and are bound by confidentiality obligations. The same need-to-know and confidentiality limits apply to access to Apple diagnostic reports for their stated purposes. This does not provide access to your remaining on-device records.
Apple services you choose. Apple independently handles Siri voice requests under its own practices. Feltie receives the resulting text, not that audio. Reading authorized Apple Health data into Feltie does not send your Feltie entries back to Apple Health. Apple's independent handling of Siri requests and Apple Health source records is separate from Feltie's local processing.
Legally compelled recipients. Information actually held by Feltie may be disclosed to a court, regulator, or other recipient only when disclosure is required by, and permitted under, applicable law, and only to the extent legally required. This does not authorize a disclosure prohibited by health-privacy law or allow Feltie to retrieve records stored only on your device.
Successors. If Feltie is involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of all or part of its business or assets, correspondence and diagnostic reports containing consumer health data may transfer to a successor that assumes Feltie's obligations under the Act and this policy, but only to the extent the transaction and transfer comply with the Act. Records remaining on your device are not part of that transfer. Any legally required consent or authorization must be obtained before the transfer.
We do not sell consumer health data or share it for advertising or data brokerage. We do not collect, use, sell, or share consumer health data to train artificial-intelligence models. No affiliate receives consumer health data from Feltie. Collection or sharing that requires consent will occur only after the required affirmative consent. Consent to sharing, when required, will be separate from consent to collection. Processing necessary for a product or service you request will be limited to what applicable law allows for that purpose.
4. Your Washington rights
You may confirm whether we collect, share, or sell your consumer health data and access that data. You may request a list of all third parties and affiliates with which we have shared or sold your consumer health data, together with an active email address or other online contact mechanism for each. Because Feltie does not learn who receives a file you export, our response will identify each third party to which Feltie itself disclosed your consumer health data and will describe export recipients by category. This distinction does not limit any recipient-identification obligation the Act places on Feltie. You may withdraw consent to collection or sharing, request deletion, and appeal a refusal to act. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
On-device controls. You can view your saved information in the App, export a backup in Settings, and use the Settings control to erase all local data. Revoke Feltie's Apple Health permissions to stop future Health access; revocation alone does not delete previously imported records. To stop all local processing, revoke optional permissions, erase local data, and stop using the App. A feature that needs particular information cannot function without it.
Requests to Feltie. Email support@feltieapp.com. You may also use "Contact us" to prepare a message in your email app and send it yourself. Describe your request without sending a health-data backup or medical records. We will authenticate requests using information reasonably necessary for that purpose. We will not require a new account. If we need additional information to authenticate your request, we will explain what is needed.
Feltie cannot remotely operate the controls on your device. We will explain the available local steps and separately act on information we hold, such as support email. Local deletion does not erase your Apple Health source records, original files, exported copies, or correspondence already sent. Where the Act requires us to notify affiliates, processors, contractors, or other third parties of a deletion request, we will do so. The limits of remote access do not remove those statutory obligations.
5. Responses and appeals
We will respond without undue delay and no later than 45 days after receiving your request. When reasonably necessary, we may extend that period once by up to 45 additional days and will notify you of the extension and reasons within the initial 45-day period. We will respond free of charge to at least two requests from you in any 12-month period and will charge a fee or decline a request as manifestly unfounded, excessive, or repetitive only when the Act permits, with an explanation.
If we refuse to act, we will explain the reasons and how to appeal. Reply to our response or email support@feltieapp.com to ask for reconsideration within a reasonable period after our decision. No special form is required. We will provide a written appeal decision, including the reasons, within 45 days after receiving the appeal. If the appeal is denied, we will provide an online mechanism for contacting the Washington Attorney General to submit a complaint.
Any statutory exception will be applied only to the extent the Act permits. Nothing in this policy limits a right or remedy available under the Act.
6. Changes to this policy
We will update the "Effective and last updated" date at the top of this policy whenever it changes. Before collecting, using, or sharing additional categories of consumer health data, or collecting, using, or sharing consumer health data for additional purposes, we will make the disclosures and obtain the affirmative consent required by the Act.
